ABOUT BRIDE ASSEMBLY CHURCH
We, the Bride Assembly Lagos Church, are an end-time message Bible-believing body of Jesus Christ.
We are a group of believers responding to the SHOUT of 1 Thessalonians 4:16 and re-echoing the voice of the 7th angel messenger to fulfil Malachi 4:5-6(b).
The Bride Assembly Church accepts the Holy Bible as her authority in all matters of faith and practice. The church's understanding of christian truth as contained therein is in essential accord with the belief of the apostles as indicated in our articles of faith.
We remain guided by the written word; the Bible, the revealed and spoken word by the prophet messenger to this age and the leadership of the Holy Ghost through the fivefold ministry of Ephesians 4:11-16.

Sometime in early 1998, a few elders and ministers in our former church; a Lagos branch church, Ikeja, began to feel uncomfortable with so many issues bothering on the spiritual estate of the church and made several attempts to correct these issues but met stiff resistance from the pastor of the church. Our insistence was going to create a lot of problems in the church which had started witnessing withdrawal of several families; so about four of us, ministering brethren decided also in month of May 1998 to leave the church peacefully. We started holding weekly prayer meetings in the office of Pastor Moses, then located at 39, Kalejaiye Street, Mafoluku, Oshodi Lagos.
It must be emphasized that as we began to gather in Pastor Moses's office, we ensured no member of our former church, apart from our immediate families, was allowed to join us. This was to avoid being labeled church breakers or member snatchers.
The group soon metamorphosed into a full church when we started attracting members, and started having Sunday services and midweek Bible Study in addition to the weekly Friday vigils. The need to put the church in order as the members increased, saw us after weeks of prayers and fasting adopting the name "The Bride Assembly Church", the appointment of "The Trustee Board", the ordination of Bro. Moses Alu as the "Overseer" and the "Deacons" of the church on the 1st of November 1998, fulfilling the divine revelation Pastor Moses received several times between 1990 and 1995 which he narrated to close brethren and friends.
Being an evangelistic and praying church, we soon outgrew the three bedroom apartment we occupied and had to move to a bigger space which the Lord provided for us within the same vicinity in January 2001. By this time, the church had grown to over two thousand members and could attract sometime up to over four thousand whenever there was an advertised program. This caused a lot of problems with the neighbours and the landlord had to give us a quit notice which sent us everywhere looking for another space.
In December 2005, the Lord graciously made it possible for us to acquire two and a half acres (15 plots) of land at the Amuwo Odofin Park Estate located off the Ijesha Bus Stop, along Oshodi/Apapa Expressway in Lagos. This is a central location in Lagos.
We immediately moved in and constituted the church building committee. The contribution by members over time has enabled construction of the temporary auditorium with a 10,000 seating capacity, bore hole water treatment plant, electricity transformer, well-laid access roads, children church hall with a seating capacity of 500 (which is also used as event hall ) and also provided two shuttle buses that shuttle members between the Bus Stop and the church during raining days.
